Batch data process

Purpose of application to make possible an automatization data editing in geodatabase Esri based on the structural requests unloaded from XML files. Application logic is installed on the customer computer in the dll library form. Crucial is the instalation of the ArcGIS Desktop (minimally ArcEditor licenced level) on the customer´s computer.

Main features

For working with GIS data in geodatabase used a logic based on the ArcObjects (Esri API). Data access in geodatabase is realized via ArcSDE technology, eventually through a direct connection. By virtue of the user´s editing ongoing in a user´s based version is guaranteed on fulfilment of the request on a data consistency.

Principle

File XML with requests is saved in a determinate directory on the customers computer. After initiation of function the processed requests is provided through a button in the ArcMap programme. Before processing application is checked via the user identity and verified whether user has privileges to used application. An application starts with an automatization control whether the user is in edit status and in his working version. Consequently, this is with a sequent loading and processing request from XML. Information about results of process are immediately record to text file (log file) after each finished request.
